Overview

Project Summary

• 90 total projects including road reconstruction, bridge reconstruction, road resurfacing, traffic safety improvements, intersection improvements and preventative maintenance.
• 11 bridge replacements
• 32 miles of pavement resurfacing projects, such as reclaim overlay, mill overlay and overlays.
• 111 miles of preventative maintenance projects such as chip sealing and scrub sealing.
• 6.5 miles of full urban and rural road reconstruction.
• 16 miles of GRIP projects (Gravel Road Investment Program).
  1. Add additional gravel road surfacing, grading and surface stabilization.
• Safety improvement projects: 
  1. High Friction Surface Treatments (HFST) on various county highway curves.
  2. Construct turn lanes on TH 37 at both intersections with CSAH 5 (MnDOT led).
  3. Construct J-Turn at intersection of TH 61 and CSAH 42 (Homestead Rd.) (MnDOT led).
  4. Construct turn lanes on US 2 at the intersection with CR 223 (Munger Shaw Rd.).  (St. Louis County led).
