About this Project

The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed project on CSAH 6 (Maple Grove Road) from TH 33 to Midway Road scheduled for construction between May 12 and August 8 of this year. The scope of the project between TH 33 and TH 2 is to perform grade corrections, drainage improvements, and new bituminous pavement. The scope of the project between TH 2 and Midway Road is a Stabilized Full Depth Reclamation.

MnDOT will also have a culvert replacement on TH 2 between June 2 to end of June. See website for more information:

Project Location

On Maple Grove Rd (CSAH 6) from Hwy 33 to Midway Rd (CSAH 13)

Traffic Impacts

Maple Grove Rd will remain open at all times between TH 2 and Midway Road. A road closure will be in place between TH 33 and TH 2 with a posted detour on TH 33, Morris Thomas Road, Canosia Road, and US Highway 2.

Property Access Details

This project will be performed with a road closure. Houses with no access to a side street will access their homes either by driving through the construction site, or walking on a marked path to their home when road access is not feasible. We will try and keep the amount of time that walking is required to a minimum. Persons with disabilities should contact Steve Krasaway to discuss special accommodations.

If you would like to have any additional work performed on your driveway, yard, or sidewalk, please contact the Contractor directly.

Mailboxes

As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.
