About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed project on West Knife River Rd, (CR 231), App Rd (CR271) & Fox Farm Rd (CR 266) Road scheduled for construction between June 15 and August 22 of this year. The scope of the project is to add gravel, inject a hardening agent and grade slope to these roads.

West Knife River Rd, (CR 231) 0.5 miles West of CR 271 (App Rd) to CSAH 42 (Homestead Rd), App Rd (CR271) CR 271 (W. Knife River Rd) to CR 266 (Two Harbors Rd) & Fox Farm Rd (CR 266) CSAH 44 (Pequaywan Lake Rd) to CSAH 41 (Culbertson Rd)
Traffic Impacts
There will be no detour and all work will be completed under traffic.
Mailboxes
As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.

Construction will occur from June through August in 2026. Construction will be occurring between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturdays. No work will occur on Sundays.
