Laine Rd (CR 266) - Bridge Replacement
About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed a bridge replacement project on CR 266 (Laine Rd) located 6.4 miles west of Two Harbors and spanning over the East Knife River. The replacement work is scheduled for construction between August 17 and September 19, 2026. The scope of the project is to remove the existing culvert, construct a single 12-foot precast concrete box culvert, and approximately 600-feet of road work.

Traffic Impacts
Utilize posted detour and reference the map above. From south of the project, travel west on CSAH 41 (Two Harbors Rd) and take a slight right to continue onto CR 266 (Two Harbors Rd). Take a right onto TWP 2406 (Hill Rd) and then a 90-degree turn right onto TWO 2405 (Nappa Rd) to connect back onto CR 266 (Laine Rd).

When and where will construction occur?
Construction will occur from mid-August through mid-September in 2026. Construction will typically occur between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm Monday through Friday, and work on Saturdays as needed to complete the project on time. No work will occur on Sundays.
How will I get to my house if I live on this section of roadway?
All driveway entrances shall remain open during construction activities. During construction, a signed detour route will be provided until the project is complete.
How will I know when there will be a disruption in access to my property?
Access disruptions are not anticipated but if required, the Contractor will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property.
