About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has proposed 3 culvert replacement projects on CSAH 133 located on the corridor between Hwy-73 and Hwy-5 west of Meadowlands. The replacement work is scheduled for construction between May 18 and August 7, 2026, but is anticipated to only need 6-8 weeks upon Contractor start. The scope of the project is to remove the existing culverts, construct a single 12-foot precast concrete box culvert for crossings at Joula Creek and Skunk Creek, construct a 60” concrete culvert at Judicial Ditch #4, and roadway grading and paving at each location.
Locations
Culvert Locations
Joula Creek - 3.5 Mi E of TH-73 and 0.1 Mi W of CR 189 (Eagle Rd)
Skunk Creek - 0.6 Mi E of CR 193 (Hill Rd) and 0.3 Mi W of CR 195 (Connor Rd)
Traffic Impacts
Joula Creek - Traveling east from the project, take a right onto CR 189 (Eagle Rd). Continue on the 90-degree right curve and turn right onto TH-73 for 1.5 miles north until you reach CSAH 133 (See detour on map above).
Skunk Creek - Contractor will construct a one-lane bypass road to move traffic through the project during construction. Minor delays are expected.
Ditch - Contractor to maintain one lane of traffic during construction. Minor delays are expected.
