Hwy 21 (CSAH 21) - Culvert Replacement
About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed a bridge replacement project on CSAH 21 located 0.2 miles east of TH-169 and spanning over the Pike River. The project is scheduled for construction between June 15 and July 24, 2026. The scope of the project is to remove the existing bridge, construct (2) 20-fooet precast concrete box culverts, and approximately 700-feet of road work.

Traffic Impacts
Please utilize the posted detour and reference the map above. To the west, travel north on TH-169 for 1.5 miles, turn right onto CSAH 68. After two 90-degree turns, turn right onto CSAH 68 south (Asula RD) and travel south until you reach CSAH 21.

When and where will construction occur?
Construction will occur from mid-June through July in 2026. Construction will typically occur between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm Monday through Friday, and work on Saturdays as needed to complete the project on time. No work will occur on Sundays.
How will I get to my house if I live on this section of roadway?
All driveway entrances shall remain open during construction activities. During construction, a signed detour route will be provided until the project is complete.
How will I know when there will be a disruption in access to my property?
Access disruptions are not anticipated but if required, the Contractor will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property.
