Hwy 29 (CSAH 29) - Culvert Replacement
About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed a culvert replacement project on CSAH 29 located 5.8 miles NE of Meadowlands and spanning over an unnamed stream. The replacement work is scheduled for construction between June to July 2026 and will be completed by County Maintenance forces. The scope of the project is to remove the existing metal culvert, construct a single 8-foot precast concrete box culvert, and approximately 300-feet of road work.

0.2 Mi E of TWP 5892 (Kelsey Fraser Rd) and 0.6 Mi W of CR 208 (Poplar Rd)
Traffic Impacts
Please utilize the posted detour and reference the map above. Traveling west from the project, continue on CSAH 29 and past (2) 90-degree turns until reaching CR 202 (Owl Ave). Take a right turn onto CR 202 (Owl Ave), then another right turn onto CSAH 52 (Arkola Rd), and another right turn onto CR 208 (Poplar Rd) to connect back onto CSAH 29.

When and where will construction occur?
Construction will occur sometime between mid-June through July in 2026 by County Maintenance forces. Construction is only anticipated to take 3-weeks. Construction will typically occur between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and work on Saturdays as needed to complete the project on time. No work will occur on Sundays.
How will I get to my house if I live on this section of roadway?
All driveway entrances shall remain open during construction activities. During construction, a signed detour route will be provided until the project is complete.
How will I know when there will be a disruption in access to my property?
Access disruptions are not anticipated but if required, the county will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property.
