About this Project

St. Louis County is planning a resurfacing project on Canosia Rd (CSAH 98) in 2027. This project is in Solway and Grand Lake Townships and is 8.9 miles in length. The reclaim and overlay process will obliterate the existing pavement, stabilize the road base and construct a new pavement section. This project will include safety improvements at two intersections by constructing right-turn lanes on Canosia Rd.

Location

Canosia Rd (CSAH 98) from St. Louis River Rd (CR 696) to Industrial Rd


Traffic Impacts

There will be no detour and all work will be completed under traffic.


Mailboxes

As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.
