About this Project

The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed project on CSAH 156 (Harvey St) from S Central Ave to S 9th Ave E scheduled for construction between May 19 and October 11 of this year. The scope of this project is complete reconstruct including new Storm Sewer, Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk, and Bituminous Pavement

Project Location

S Central Ave to S 9th Ave E

Traffic Impacts

Harvey Street will be closed during the project, Central Ave, 4th Ave, and 8th Ave intersections will be open.

Property Access Details

This project will be performed with a road closure. Houses with no access to a side street will access their homes either by driving through the construction site, or walking on a marked path to their home when road access is not feasible. We will try and keep the amount of time that walking is required to a minimum. Persons with disabilities should contact Eric Fallstrom to discuss special accommodations.

During the placement of curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, and concrete driveways, vehicular access to your property will be limited. The Contractor will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property to discuss the details on where to park.

If you would like to have any additional work performed on your driveway, yard, or sidewalk, please contact the Contractor directly.

Mailboxes

As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.
