About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed reconstruction project on CSAH 43 (Fish Lake Road) from Lavaque Road to Pioneer Road scheduled for construction between May and October of this year.
Location
On Fish Lake Rd from Lavaque Road to Pioneer Road
Traffic Impacts - Road Open to Traffic! (10/16/2024)
Fish Lake Road will be closed to thru traffic, please follow posted detour. You will always have access to your property, but the direction which you access it will vary throughout the project.
Please Note: To access Olson Dr and Fredenberg Lake Rd Friday and Saturday (7/5-7/6), please utilize the posted detour as there is a pipe going in East of Olson Dr and a small section of the road will be closed.
Property Access Details
This project will be performed with a road closure. Access will be maintained at all times, although the direction may vary. If access to your property will be limited, a representative from the Contractor or St. Louis County will contact you directly.
During the placement of curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, and concrete driveways, vehicular access to your property will be limited. The Contractor will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property to discuss the details on where to park.
If you would like to have any additional work performed on your driveway, yard, or sidewalk, please contact the Contractor directly.
Mailboxes
As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.

How will I get to my house if I live on this section of roadway?
Houses with no access to a side street will access their homes either by driving through the construction site, or walking on a marked path to their home when road access is not feasible. We will try and keep the amount of time that walking is required to a minimum. Persons with disabilities should contact Steve Krasaway to discuss special accommodations.
Who do I contact if I would like additional work performed on my driveway, yard, or sidewalk?
Please contact the Contractor directly for any additional work you would like performed on your driveway, yard, or sidewalk.
