Munger Shaw Road (CR 223) - Reclaim & Overlay

About this Project

The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed project on CR 223 (Munger Shaw Road) between CSAH 48 (Taft Road) and the end of the existing pavement. The scope of the project includes a full depth reclamation of the existing pavement and the construction of new full depth asphalt pavement.

Traffic Impacts

There will be no detour and all work will be completed under traffic.

Property Access Details

CR 223 (Munger Shaw Road) will be open to both through and local traffic throughout the project. The Contractor will utilize flagmen during work hours to allow traffic to safely pass through the project. Expect delays in traveling through the project, especially when the Contractor is working in front of your property.

Mailboxes

As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.
