About this Project
The St. Louis County Public Works Department has a proposed project on CSAH 35 (Schultz Road) between Lavaque Road and Rice Lake Road scheduled for construction between May 12 and June 28 of this year.

Traffic Impacts
There will be no detour and all work will be completed under traffic.
Property Access Details
CSAH 35 (Schultz Road) will be open to both through and local traffic throughout the project. The Contractor will utilize flagmen during work hours to allow traffic to safely pass through the project. Expect delays in traveling through the project, especially when the Contractor is working in front of your property.
If you would like to have any additional work performed on your driveway, yard, or sidewalk, please contact the Contractor directly.
Mailboxes
As part of St. Louis County’s safety policy, new mailbox supports & mailboxes meeting the Federal crash guidelines will be installed by the Contractor. The new mailbox will be installed in approximately the same location as your existing mailbox. The old supports & mailboxes will be deposited next to your driveway for possible salvage by the owners. About 2 weeks after installation of the new supports & mailboxes, any supports & mailboxes not salvaged by the property owner will be picked up for disposal.

Construction will occur from May June 2025. Construction will be occurring between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm on Saturdays. No work will occur on Sundays.
How will I get to my house if I live on this section of roadway?
Houses with no access to a side street will access their homes either by driving through the construction site, or walking on a marked path to their home when road access is not feasible. We will try and keep the amount of time that walking is required to a minimum. Persons with disabilities should contact Steve Krasaway to discuss special accommodations.
Who do I contact if I would like additional work performed on my driveway, yard, or sidewalk?

How will I know when there will be a disruption in access to my property?
The Contractor will contact you prior to any disruptions to access to your property to discuss the details on where to park.
